Prerequisite:
Basic knowledge of managing and conducting
internal audits/assessment -- this may be obtained from 
quality auditing books or better yet, introductory/how-to type courses.

Workshop Description:

This is a highly practical and interactive workshop that demands full and active participation.  All exercises are applicable to the software development industry. 

This workshop does not focus on the process/activities of conducting audits/assessments but rather on the various techniques that may be applied when conducting audits/assessments.

This workshop includes lots of samples, role playing and mock-up observations to intensify the skills necessary for effective outcomes.

Workshop Goals:

Learn when and how to apply various techniques for the following:
1. Planning and preparing for system, process and project evaluations--includes obtaining support for the upcoming audit / assessment.
2. Announcing an upcoming audit / assessment.
3. Executing an audit / assessment using combination of group sessions and private 1-on-1 sessions.
4. Questioning / interacting with people.
5. Note taking.
6. Analyzing your observations.
7. Reporting outcomes.
8. Ensuring effectiveness of outcome including corrective action planning and various follow-up techniques.
